Taught Equine Studies, Agriculture and general science at KSS
Planned, sought Board Approval for, and implemented the popular locally developed course “Equine Studies”.
From the inception of KHS and KSS trustees, members of the community and school administrators expressed the desire that KHS/KSS should offer a practical course and program in Agriculture.
The course Jo developed with help from Ric Wanless of Norkam became a very popular course and a practical way for students to develop an appreciation of agriculture and with an emphasis on horses.
Respected and appreciated by students for her dedication, positive relationships and love of animals.
Nominated by the class of 1989-1999 as the teacher of the year.
