Born June 1st, 1955 in Trail, B.C. Passed away September 19th, 2012 in Vancouver, BC.
Doug was raised in Kamloops and graduated from KSS in 1973. He was an avid reader, writer, a poet and certainly an untapped intellectual. After high school, he worked for the CPR for 17 years; while he very much enjoyed the people of CPR, he was never fond of the corporation and left the company in 1990 to search for a new life.
The search over the last 22 years took Doug on an interesting ride through many hills and valleys. During most of this period, Doug worked on the financing of junior mining companies on the TSX-V as a self-described "professional optimist". While Doug never did strike it rich in his life of finance, he did see a lot of the world in an interesting fashion and left us with few regrets and lots of stories.
