Johnston Pinchback passes away
Walter
8/12/2004
Johnston Frederick Pinchback (1938 - 2004) passed away suddenly and peacefully at the third tee at Arbutus Ridge Golf Club on the morning of Tuesday August 3, 2004. Born in Kamloops, May 1938, John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 41 years, Judy; sons Andy and Mike (Carl); daughter Catherine; grandsons, Darcy and Logan and his sweet Sophie-pup. John is also survived by his sister, Linda (Warren), nephews, Grant and Stephen (Sharon), niece, Cheryl and their families. John had a great love for people, was the eternal optimist and always found the good in everyone he met. He was a member of the Victoria Real Estate Board for over 30 years and served as a Board Director for several years. He was known in the industry as the gentleman with integrity. A music lover, John played 2nd chair in the trumpet section, an could bring you to tears with his rendition of “And the Angels Sing”, with the Commodores Big Band. Mr. Smooth’s passion for golf was second only to his love for his family and friends. “It never rains on a golf course” and even when his score wasn’t up to par, it was still a good day. Judy and family would like to thank Alanna, Scott and the staff of Arbutus Ridge Golf Club and long time friends Larry and Carol Brooks and Stony Holm for their kind and loving support on our day of great sadness.
