Iona passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years in Victoria, B.C. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne, and her father, Arthur. Iona is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hugh. She will lovingly be remembered by her sons Dale (Michelle) and Paul (Sharon); grandchildren Jared, Michael, Kevin, Kayleigh and Ross; and great-grandchildren Elliott and Josie. She is also survived by her brother Gavin and niece Leanne.
Iona was a kind and caring person who had a positive outlook on life. She was an avid gardener and was exceptionally talented in sewing. Over the years, she made cozy caps for cancer patients. Iona enjoyed her time working at Ikea (when they were in Victoria) and Standard Furniture. Hugh and Iona's passions included travelling the world. They were also dedicated to health and fitness, being active gym members.
