Gordon Farquharson

Gordon is also in the class of 1948

Gordpn died after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by his love Jane, they married May 17, 1958 and are together again.

Born and raised in Kamloops BC, Gordon tried his hand a variety of work in BC & AB, before finding his career in insurance adjusting, and retiring from ICBC Claims. Settling in Port Moody, BC in 1969, where he remained until hospice.

He was strong and athletic to the end, even playing against the Harlem Globetrotters as a youth. He loved the outdoors, hiking, skiing, camping, fishing and boating. He supported us always, whether driving kids to ski hills, to horse shows (at 4am), or helping teach us how to build or fix things. He is loved and missed by his son Todd, daughter Lorri, and son-in-law/buddy Wayne, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews in BC, AB and UK.

Len Fowles passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by loving family, on July 13, 2013.

Len was born in Kamloops July 29, 1932 and was one of five children of Jack and Olive Fowles. Alongside sisters Ethel and Doris, he grew up playing basketball and baseball with his brothers Jack and George. Len was a valuable player on the Kamloops Okonots baseball team and had a life-long passion for the sport that carried through to his beloved 'Toronto Blue Jays' and to his playing and coaching with the local senior's team, the 'Coffin Dodgers', in his later years. Len was a respected leader in the school district as an administrator and was an active contributor with the BC Principles Association. He truly enjoyed his fellowship with the Gyro Club, sharing his spirit and service. It is this generosity of spirit that characterized his relationships with family, friends, community and profession.

Len loved his time with family and friends, usually amongst the backdrop of a round of golf, or a BBQ in the neighborhood, in between world travels with Judy and winters in Palm Desert.
