Born and raised in Kamloops, BC to Margaret and Gordon Kenward. She was the eldest of five daughters: Judy (deceased), Karen (John), Ewena (Peter), Naomi (John). She influenced and shared in the lives of her eight nieces and nephews.
After high school she joined the RCAF where she met Ken Cochrane. They married in 1955 and together inspired the lives of six children, Gordon (Eunice), Glen (Joan), Heather (Greg), Sheilah (Fred), Naomi (Frank), Kathleen (Bryan). Margo acknowledged and respected Ken's 2nd wife Barbara and with their family all of them recently mourned the passing of Ken. Margo will leave behind twenty three grandchildren, and six great grandkids.
Family was the center of her universe and this value was expressed in both her personal and professional life as an FAW. A passionate bridge player, throughout the course of her life, she ultimately received the Bronze Life Master award. The Duncan Chamber of Commerce acknowledged Margo with the Black Tie Service Award for Excellence in 1996.
Margo's parting words "take personal responsibility for your own life and consider with respect the lives of all you meet including those less fortunate."
