March 14, 1935 – July 18, 2016 It is with the deepest sadness that we say goodbye to our Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa and friend Gordon Ross Beecroft. He passed away peacefully at the Peace Arch Hospice in White Rock, BC. Gordon lived a life of kindness and was a real gentleman. He never asked for much and was always there to lend a helping hand. Born in Powell River, his family moved to Vancouver and eventually settled in Kamloops during his teenage years. Gordon loved the game of baseball and enjoyed both playing and coaching for many years with the Kamloops Okonots. He also enjoyed many years of curling and golfing with friends. Gordon married his high school love Maribelle Stephen in 1955 and raised their three children David, Ken and Nadine. Gordon and Maribelle owned Patek Supplies then finishing their years in Kamloops as owners of All Seasons Travel. Mom sadly passed away in 1995 in West Vancouver, where they enjoyed their final years together. After retiring from Hollyburn Country Club in 1996, Gordon moved to White Rock to be closer to family. He enjoyed his retired years attending every sport his grandsons played and all family events – his presence was always welcomed by those that knew him. His gentle manner and touch of humour will be missed.
